This year we made the move back to Florida. There’s a much longer growing season here– it’s basically a continuous growing season– and we invested in quality compost soil so the tomato plants and beans are bigger than anything we’ve ever grown.
We have 3 types of beans, tomatoes, herbs, sweet potatoes, collards, kale, corn, shallots, and some leftover bok choy that’s flowering nicely so we left it for the bees.
Below is a view of the garden in April and the farmhouse. (The term farmhouse is used loosely and refers to the place we sit and drink beer while we watch our gardens grow– not a whole lot of real farming going on.)
